contemporary expressionism
ROUND ABOUT
All Paintings are Original - One-of-a-Kind
The Expressionist group was born out of the American Art movement in the 1950’s. Bold brushwork and the spontaneous process of colour application often characterized paintings. In the 1960’s and 70’s, contemporary artists merged their own concepts and ideology with this expanding expressionist movement.
As an enthusiast and student of this dynamic art form, Jaki has developed her own painting style she calls, “Contemporary Expressionism”.

The dual nature of the artist’s work, as both representational and expressive, surfaces in multiple landscapes, seascapes, abstracts and figurative compositions that provide both emotional self -expression and a rational creative approach.
